IELTS

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is an international standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers whose aim is immigration or higher studies abroad. It is jointly managed by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge Assessment English. IELTS helps learners to improve their language as well as communication skills.

This examination is recognized by universities and employers in a number of countries including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, USA and Germany. The test results are recognized by professional bodies, immigration authorities and other government agencies. The average band for IELTS is 5.5.

The test has two versions : Academic IELTS & General IELTS training (GT)

Academic IELTS is for people who plan to continue their higher education by enrolling in universities in countries like US,UK,Australia,Canada,New Zealand etc.The academic institutions in these countries consider the IELTS score as a criteria for the admission process.
General IELTS is mostly for work permit & immigration purposes in countries like Australia, New Zealand, Canada, United Kingdom etc. It may also be used for work experience or training in a non academic field.
